Your website will only continue to work for you if you maintain your content and website files. Core files and plugins on an opensource website can be altered by their developers. This could be to protect them from hackers or to comply with the latest software developments; as well as generally improving performance. When files are change we will need to update those files on your website to ensure they continue to work. Sometimes plugins become obsolete, you then need to find a replacement plugin to keep your functionality. We will keep a track of your file updates for you and keep your website working.
Sign up to a maintenance agreement and we can set time aside each month for your updates. This includes updates to your content and improvements on your SEO. Our fee will depend on the size of your site and how much of it you want us to manage.
After you agree your maintenance options we will set up a test site on our development server. We do this to ensure any changes we implement do not interrupt the traffic to your website. After making any changes we will test the website before uploading the files to the live/production server. We upload the files when your website has less traffic, no matter what time of day that proves to be.
